Join Maureen and the dedicated community at Ashtanga Orlando for our online Mysore Shala every Tuesday, Thursday & Friday Morning.
For those who have walked this path with me, you know that the Mysore style is the traditional heart of Ashtanga Yoga. Unlike a typical led class, Mysore style is a self-paced practice within a group setting. It allows you to move at the rhythm of your own breath, memorizing the sequence so that the practice becomes a "moving meditation." In this online space, I am here to provide individual guidance, refined adjustments, and the energetic support of the collective, just as I have learned during my eight residencies in India.
Is This Class for You?
To maintain the flow and sacredness of this space, this online Mysore session is specifically designed for:
- Students who are already familiar with the Ashtanga method.
- Practitioners who have a solid grasp of the Standing Sequence of postures.
- Yogis ready to take ownership of their daily Sadhana.
How to Join the Shala:
Login Window: Please log into the class between 6:00 AM – 6:15 AM Every Tuesday & Thursday Morning Easter Time Zone (Florida, USA).
The Opening Chant: We begin promptly at 6:15 AM to chant the Opening Mantra together, setting our collective intention before moving into our individual practices.
New to Ashtanga? Start Here!
If you are new to this discipline or still learning the sequence, the best way to build a safe and sustainable foundation is through our Led Primary Series classes.
Join us Mondays & Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.
In these Led sessions, I call out the traditional Sanskrit count and guide the entire group through the postures in sync. This is the absolute best way for beginners to:
- Learn the correct "Vinyasa Count" and breathing rhythm.
- Memorize the sequence in a supported environment.
- Build the stamina needed to eventually transition into the Mysore-style self-practice.
Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening a lifelong practice, I am honored to guide you. Let’s keep the flame of traditional yoga burning bright, one breath at a time.
